Alternatively, self-study using ICMP’s recommended materials is also an option.

Step 3: Registration & Payment: Once eligibility is confirmed, the candidate must complete the registration process by submitting the required registration fees as specified by ICMP.
Step 4: Exam Scheduling: After successful registration, candidates may proceed to schedule their examination. To schedule an exam on a specific date, a registered candidate must email the ICMP Exam Department at least 15 calendar days in advance. Confirmation of the requested date or an alternative date (if needed) will be provided via email. No additional fee is required for exam enrollment once registered.
The Experienced Professional Route offers an alternative pathway for seasoned professionals to earn Leadership Credentials and Expert Certifications through a Competence-Based Assessment. This route is designed for candidates who meet the defined eligibility criteria and possess substantial experience in their respective fields.
Qualified professionals have the opportunity to undergo a structured assessment process that evaluates their expertise, prior learning, industry experience, demonstrated executive responsibilities and leadership roles. This merit-based evaluation ensures that their professional standing is formally recognized.

Candidate may opt to complete the questionnaire in one session or over multiple sessions within the specified fifteen (15) days period. This process enables candidates to demonstrate their proficiency in their respective fields by providing evidence of real-world application, leadership qualities, strategic thinking, creativity, and decision-making skills. The questionnaire is meticulously designed to capture not only the candidate’s ability to lead and inspire teams or organizations but also their capacity for sustainable growth, innovative problem-solving, and the effective application of industry principles, techniques, and best practices.

Step 4: Assessment Process: ICMP assessments are computer-based and accessible through the ICMP website. Upon registration, ICMP activates your CMP Assessment Window, which appears on your ICMP dashboard under the title “Assessment Window.” The link remains active for 15 calendar days from the activation date. You may complete the assessment in a single session or multiple sessions within this timeframe. If unavoidable circumstances arise, an additional 15-day extension is available at no extra cost.

Candidates are evaluated based on their demonstrated leadership roles within the industry, including positions at the C-level, strategic level, or as the head of a major function. Such roles must be substantiated through verifiable evidence. Professional references are considered an added advantage. Additionally, ICMP reserves the right to request further details or clarifications to ensure that the assessment process upholds the highest standards of rigor and integrity.

Step 4: Recommendation Process: ICMP may seek endorsements from the candidate’s employer, relevant organizations, or designated references to validate professional experience. Additionally, if required, ICMP may conduct an online interview to further assess the candidate’s qualifications and expertise.
The registration fee for this certification is US $144.00.
Upon registration, the validity period is six months, during which candidates must complete their learning and appear for the examination. No additional fee is required to sit for the exam. The registration remains valid for six months, allowing candidates up to three attempts to complete the examination or assessment process within this period.
