Emerging Professionals Route

About the Route

The Emerging Professionals Route is designed for early-career professionals seeking to strengthen their foundational knowledge and professional capabilities. It develops essential theoretical understanding and analytical skills to support career progression and future professional responsibilities.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • 16 years of education with at least 1 years of relevant experience; or
  • 14 years of education with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relaxation in the required professional experience may be considered in both cases, subject to ICMP’s discretion.

Learning Methodology

The program follows a self-paced learning approach, allowing candidates to prepare according to their own schedule. ICMP provides relevant study notes and learning materials to support examination preparation. A mock examination is also available to help candidates familiarize themselves with the examination format and assess their readiness before attempting the final examination.

Examination Process

  • Language: All examinations are conducted in English.
  • Mode: Examinations are computer-based, remotely administered, and open-book through ICMP’s official online platform.
  • Reference Material: Candidates may use non-human resources, including internet searches, books, articles, journals, educational resources, and ICMP study materials.
  • Pattern: The examination comprises of 100 MCQs.
  • Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours), to be completed in one continuous sitting.
  • Passing Criteria: A minimum score of 60% is required to pass.

Exam Scheduling & Attempts

  • Validity: The examination window remains open for six (6) months from activation.
  • Scheduling: Candidates may attempt the examination at their convenience within this period.
  • Attempts: Up to three (3) attempts are allowed, including the initial attempt and two additional attempts, without any additional examination fee.
  • Completion: The examination must be successfully completed within the six-month validity period.

Registration

  • Candidates are required to submit an application for registration through the designated ICMP registration link and pay the applicable registration fee.
  • ICMP will review the application against the prescribed eligibility criteria.
  • Eligible candidates will receive registration confirmation along with the necessary instructions for the examination process.
  • If a candidate is found not eligible, the registration fee will be refunded after deduction of 10% of the amount received as processing charges.

Executive Professionals Route

About the Route

The Executive Professionals Route is designed for experienced professionals at the middle-management or managerial level who wish to demonstrate their professional competence through a practical, assignment-based assessment. It recognizes prior learning, managerial experience, decision-making ability, and the practical application of professional knowledge.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • 16 years of education with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience; or
  • 14 years of education with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Relaxation in the required professional experience may be considered in both cases, subject to ICMP’s discretion.

Update Your Knowledge

Relevant study notes are made available to candidates to help them update and strengthen their knowledge in the respective professional area.

Assessment Process

  • Method: Assessment is conducted through an assignment/questionnaire based on the candidate’s practical knowledge and industry experience in the respective professional area.
  • Mode: The assessment is computer-based and submitted online through ICMP’s official platform.
  • Focus: The assignment evaluates practical application, leadership, strategic thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and professional judgment.
  • Completion: Candidates may complete the assignment in one or multiple sessions within the prescribed assessment period.
  • Evaluation: The submitted assignment is reviewed by ICMP against the prescribed assessment criteria.

Assessment Scheduling & Attempts

  • Assessment Window: The assignment window remains open for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of activation.
  • Flexibility: Candidates may complete the assignment at their convenience within this period.
  • Extension: In case of unavoidable circumstances, candidates may seek an extension of 30 days at a time. Further extensions may also be requested, subject to approval by the competent authority and submission of appropriate justification.
  • Validity: Registration remains valid for three (3) months. All assessment attempts and approved extensions must fall within this validity period, and no extension will be granted beyond six months from the date of registration.
  • Attempts: If the submitted assessment does not meet the required standard, candidates may re-attempt it. Up to three (3) attempts are allowed, including the initial attempt and two additional attempts, without any additional assessment fee.

Leading Professionals Route

About the Route

The Leading Professionals Route is designed to recognize senior professionals who have demonstrated strategic leadership, industry influence, and organizational impact at the C-level, senior management, or equivalent leadership level.

It recognizes prior learning, extensive professional experience, subject-matter expertise, strategic decision-making, and significant professional achievements.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet either of the following criteria:

  • 16 years of education with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience, including 2 years at C-level/senior level; or
  • 14 years of education with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience, including 2 years at C-level/senior level.

Update Your Knowledge

Relevant study notes are made available to candidates to help them update and strengthen their knowledge in the respective professional area.

Assessment Method

Candidates are assessed through a structured process that includes the submission of a professional portfolio or reflective statement, supported by professional references.

If required, endorsements from employers may be sought, and an online interview may be conducted to further assess the candidate’s competence.

Additionally, candidates may be invited to submit his views on a relevant topic within their area of expertise to demonstrate leadership insight and professional competence.

  • ICMP will review the application against the prescribed eligibility criteria.
  • Eligible candidates will receive registration confirmation along with the necessary instructions for the assessment process.

The registration fee for this certification is US $144.00

Upon registration, the validity period is six months, during which candidates must complete their learning and appear for the examination. No additional fee is required to sit for the exam. The registration remains valid for six months, allowing candidates up to three attempts to complete the examination or assessment process within this period.
