Born in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, in 1955, Dr. Hanapi holds a PhD in International Business from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK, and an MBA from the University of Stirling, Scotland. His illustrious career began with FELDA Malaysia, where he served in various roles before transitioning to academia.
Dr. Hanapi’s academic tenure is marked by his long association with University Utara Malaysia, where he held various positions, including Dean of the School of Management and Professor of International Business. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Asia E University and a visiting professor at institutions in Indonesia, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
